Dean Colls

Dean Colls currently lives and works in Melbourne Australia.

His work examining Australian culture and the broader human condition is grounded by his abiding interest in the natural sciences and influenced by his fascination with origami and the aesthetics of early computer generated imagery.

Dean is also committed to the collaborative process, especially for public artworks, and some examples of this can be found at Aludean.

Acknowledgement of Country

I respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which I live, work and make art. This is Stolen Country, the sovereignty of which was never ceded.

I pay my respects to Elders past present and emerging and stand in solidarity with all First Nation peoples, and recognise their continuing connection to Land, Waters and Culture.

Always was, always will be.
